New Band To Burn One To – Spiderlord

As also seen on Heavy Planet

Today’s New Band To Burn One To is Spiderlord.

This band from New York recently sent an email saying hey, check us out. We get that a lot understandably. Most bands are good, some are ok, a few are, well we won’t mention them. One of the better bands recently was Spiderlord from West Babylon, New York. Their style is pure raw and unadulterated hard rock. Mesmerizing guitars and trippy riffs along with some well timed and placed vocals make these guys seem like they’re from the Midwest and not the east coast. Each region of the US has a distinct sound. These guys kinda break away from that mold. Spiderlord’s sound closely resembles that of Lo-Pan or Devil to Pay. Their sound is so simple that it speaks for itself in large volume.

A stripped-down, raw, hard hitting sound that attempts to replicate and enhance a mind-altering hypnotic induction. A sound that takes the listener to a parallel universe, a universe made up of groove and sonic distortion.

Checkout their EP on their webpage, like em on Facebook, Reverbnation and catch them should you be near where they’re playing someday,
