Here we go again.
By now I’m sure you’ve heard of the great music site Exploding in Sound. No? Well here’s your chance to get acquainted. The site is run by Dan Goldin, the man knows his shit too. He puts together some great comp albums. This one is his latest.
Stubb build on the foundations laid down by the pioneers of the 60s and 70s and continue the journey of the power trio through the 21st Century. Psychedelic sounds, blues rock and frantic solos are fused together as Stubb create classic heavy rock and roll songs.
On 6th February 2012 the band’s debut self titled album will be released on Superhot Records.
Blood Red Water formed in the summer of 2010 with Michele and Fiorica. Michele & Fiorica were longtime friends, drinking partners and united by the passion for sludge music so they decided to create something wicked….Wicked it is. Heavy sludge and doom. Awesome combo and these guys sound great.
Automata’s sound is like a lucid dream: there’s a subtle familiarity in it that lures you into something altogether otherworldly. Blending dub, soul, pop, blues and rock with break beat, electronic, ambient and classical music, the Chicago-formed quartet seamlessly shifts through an endless spectrum of organic and mechanical textures. This one is different. Female vocals, psychedelic, pop, indie and to a lesser degree, bluesy rock. Listen for yourself.
XII Boar have been here once before. About a year ago actually. It seems like yesterday. They have anew EP out that’s ready to rock the hair off your body and break a few bones in the process. Are you ready? Can you handle it? I take no responsibility so do so at your own risk.
Gathering our disciples for fuzz ritual ceremonies, we are the luminous legacy of the sacred green land. Under the mourning star we preach, the great light of truth, the holy power of extra-terrestrials initiators that guide us to glorious times. Here is the Occult !5 tracks EP of 35 minutes of Stoner Doom Satan. Loud and evil, dumb and Doom, occult and FAT.
Doublestone’s EP kicks some ass, literally and figuratively. If you want catchy hooks, trance inducing riffs and the rest of the package to go along, Doublestone are for you. I’m excited that a full length will be upon us soon. Set The World Ablazekicks ass!
Formed in the spring of 2010, BIBLICAL is the sound of mountains splitting and oceans parting. Uniting members of The Illuminati, The Bicycles and The Old Soul, BIBLICAL is a ferocious beast of a band that deftly reconciles Motorohead swagger with Bad Seeds dread. Their debut self-titled EP offers a thoroughly satisfying listen that will enthral and delight any fan of guitar-based rock music with a filthy tone that moves between tense, fast paced burners and sludgey organ-drenched breakdowns.
One man drone/doom recording project from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Dealing primarily in cassette releases. Cassettes available via Dwyer Records.
