Review – Shock Radar – Generator EP
Shock Radar’s newest release, Generator EP, has just come out a few short days ago. I’ve had some time to sink my teeth into it and I like what I hear.
The EP opens up with an ambient and experimental instrumental track with a few electronica spots throughout as it progresses. This leads right into “In The Land of Vinyl” which is an ode to vinyl. “In the land of vinyl, the collector is right.” Next up is “Generator.” The track is a bit mellower and slower paced. “Recon” has a bit of an experimental flavor to it mixed with a little psychedelic rock. “Perfect Cubes” is an instrumental/experimental track to close out this EP.
I love the sound of this EP. Lee Diamond’s vocals really shine in a Chris Cornell way. This album is a bit more experimental than previous material but it’s a natural progression, something that I think the band can play around with some more and take it further from where they’re at. The EP is available now for download through Bandcamp for $5. It’s worth more then that if you ask me. Go get yours NOW!
