Washington, DC, April 4, 2012 — The opening one-two punch of 2011’s stoner rock surprise, Splitting Sky, has been immortalized in video and is now available from the band’s YouTube channel. The video for the track “Concentric Circles,” which was released in October 2011 as a 7″ single along with the Spanish version “Círculos Concéntricos” by Ghost Highway Recordings (Spain) and Fandango Records (US), adds a strong visual statement of destruction to the hard hitting song.
Two versions of the clip have been cut – one featuring the single track, and another that includes Splitting Sky intro track “Redemption” leading into the featured song, just as on the album. The video was shot in January, capturing the band in a performance setting. Intercut with the performance footage are vintage scenes of destruction, atrocity and mayhem that add to the impact and power of the song. (more…)

After more than 100 gigs all over Europe since the debut album release it was time for the new album “Hail the Black Sky”. Recorded during the early months in 2009 in Malmoe , Sweden by Markus Nilsson and produced by Deville. It follows the pattern of significant Deville grooves and 70`s driven riffing of the darker school. Eleven tracks of rock in the veins of Black Sabbath. Kyuss and Soundgarden it takes you to the next level of 70´s rock for the 21st century. This album proves the bands progress to their own sound in the genre of heavy rock and beyond and will definitely take the listeners for a ride.. IRON CLAW – A Different Game
Serendipity.
From 1969 to 1974 Scottish Heavy Rock band Iron Claw plowed across theUK, blasting out relentlessly heavy doom-laden, heavy blues rock. In and out of the recording studios, the band never officially released an album, but the bulk of their recorded output finally saw the light of day in 2009, released as a self-titled CD by Rockadrome. 35 years had passed since their last recording, but it was as if time had stood still. 2009 found a hungry audience, salivating at the heavy riffs and earthshaking rock that was Iron Claw. Stunned by the overwhelming response, the lads of Iron Claw started talking and soon, the band had reformed to work on new material. The buzz began to build. (more…)

Austin Buzz Band Announces U.S. Tour Dates in Support of Debut EP
Austin, TX psychedelic garage rockers THE SAINT JAMES SOCIETY have signed with NYC’s Tee Pee Records and will release their self-titled debut The Saint James Society on February 7, 2012. Recorded at ATX’s Cacophony Recorders (The Black Angels, Explosions in the Sky, Roky Erickson), the four song EP delivers electric rock music that brilliantly connects the dots between the late ’60s British blues-based bands and the brooding atmosphere of early ’80s post punk resulting in a hypnotically powerful sound the fabulous five-piece has coined “Pentecostal Desert Glam“. Today, The Austin Chronicle premieres the quintet’s new music video “Reflections“, calling the band’s sound “three-mile-wide psych rock”. The video was lensed by Adam Schlender for Sneaky Giants Productions and was shot at east Austin night spot Cheer Up Charlie’s, deftly capturing THE SAINT JAMES SOCIETY‘s bombastic live performance. Check out TSJS’ “Reflections” video now (below)!
“We had no idea Adam was shooting video. I had invited him to come shoot stills for our press kit,” says THE SAINT JAMES SOCIETY vocalist / bassist Brandon Burkart. Then he just let the live feed rip and we were left with a tripped out video of an actual live performance. He was able to film what it feels like inside of our collective head. Talented guy…”

Today Noisecreep premieres behind-the-scenes footage of ORNAGE GOBLIN’s “Red Tide Rising” video, the opening track off the band’s forthcoming A Eulogy For The Damned full-length, set for North American release on February 14, 2012. The video clip is loosely based on H.P. Lovecraft stories and was shot in a series of dilapidated buildings around the UK.
Elaborated vocalist Ben Ward of the video: “We made the terrible decision to make the video for ‘Red Tide Rising’ the day after the London Christmas show so it meant we all had to be up bright and early, with very severe hangovers and head down to the New Forest. Luckily it was a bright, sunny day so everyone was in good spirits and the production crew went to work setting up at the location, which was some sort of abandoned army barracks in the middle of nowhere! It could have doubled as the location for Hostel 4! In the meantime, the band was dragged halfway across Dorset to do a photo shoot whilst being attacked by rampaging horses! When we returned, thankful to be alive, we were ready to go and the recording process was very pleasant and quite a lot of fun! We already knew that the footage of us would be mixed with some animation (more…)

“Purified” , the new video from the Venezuelan sludge band Cultura Tres, can be watched through the link below. It is for the second single from their sophomore album ‘El Mal del Bien’ and was directed by Juan de Ferrari and Alejandro Londono.
The storyline of the video connects to the first single ‘Propiedad de Dios’. It evokes imagery from the collective subconsciousness about religious and political convictions, which is the source of inspiration for the whole concept album of ‘El Mal del Bien‘.
Coinciding with the video release, ‘Purified’ can be downloaded at Bandcamp ( http://culturatres.bandcamp.com) for a ‘name-your-price’ deal, as well as the album ‘El Mal del Bien’ (2011) and the debut album ‘La Cura’ (2008).

Clutch have been performing some new material during their ongoing run of Eastern U.S. dates. Fan-filmed footage of the group performing what they introduced as a new track during their recent December 28th live stop in Portland, ME can be seen below:
Western Australian sludge demons THE DEVIL RIDES OUT have released a new video for the track ‘Broken White Line’ from their Impedance Records release ‘The Heart & The Crown’.
The genesis of the clip came about when a member of the band won a beat up old VHS copy of the 1970’s Australian biker flick ‘Cosy Cool’ at a local cult video night. Coming across this vintage grindhouse obscurity felt like destiny somehow and the band set about scouring the internet in search of the filmmakers – not easy some 35 years later. They eventually managed to track down Gary Young, the director/star of the film, who was initially reluctant to licence the film for a video clip but was won over when he received a copy of the song.
