The Soda Shop is an Internet radio station and music blog that is the brain child of Jake Ball and Ron Vance (RV). As of February 2010, we are being run by Jake Ball and Bill Goodman and have never been better. The Soda Shop is geared towards Stoner Rock/Metal and Doom Metal, but will play anything that rocks. The ultimate goal of the station is to focus heavily on independent bands to give them the exposure that they deserve. The Soda Shop was created out of the love for music and the desire to give underrated bands their due.
The desires and goals of The Soda Shop are numerous and ambitious, but they see no reason to aim low. Stay tuned for constant developments in the growth of this station.
As of right now, this blog is The Soda Shop’s current home, but a full website will soon be available at www.thesodashop.us.

ARE YOU INTERESTING IN SUBMITTING MUSIC AND PRESS TO US? We’re always looking to discover and promote new independent rock. If you’re a band or press agency that’s interested in having your band or clients promoted on our blog and/or podcast, you can submit your music and press releases to us. Please look at our submissions page for more information on where and what to submit.
Why submit to us?
We are dedicated to independent rock. As such, your music will not take backseat to popular music. We give honest reviews and don’t just pay lip service to bigger bands, and submissions to our radio stream receive priority rotation over the rest of our library. We love to support those that support us.

Hi I notice u say that your radio station plays anything that is hot yeah that s cool what about in the playing of the song(s) that they submit to you do u report them to the societies that the individual person is a member of. For example I m a member of ASCAP so would u report to them the name of the song and how often u play their song(s) if so whatever the answer may be please feel free to let me know as a compsoer I m trying to obtain airplay.

At the moment our radio stream is down. It’ll be back up eventually but no time frame. The music we play belongs to, for the most part, local and regional indie bands that aren’t part of any types of societies. No put it nicely, if we have to pay to play your (or anyone’s music), we won’t play it.
